Atlantic City

US Poker Championship in Atlantic City

Jeff's only cash since the WSOP was back October in the $9700 NL Holdem Championship Event in Atlantic City. This was part of the US Poker Championship. He finished 16th, winning $20,680

A little dry spell, but nothing to be overly concerned about.

Jeff has also been active for Full Tilt poker, and is often one of the hosts for their FTOPS series.

2 further cashes make 3 in total

Jeff Madsen finished 58th in the $1500 PL Omaha Hi-Lo, winning $3235, and also 68th in the $5000 NL Holdem 6-handed, winning $6159

This brought his total cashes in the WSOP 2007 to 3, with none of them being deep finishes, which Jeff was a little disappointed with, but he knows as well as anyone the hot and cold streaks of poker, and we're confident he'll be back with some final table finishes before you know it. Good Luck on that front.

As a final little story from the WSOP 2007, Jeff showed he was a good sport in the main event, by turning up in a Jester costume after losing a prop bet with friends Gavin Smith and Joe Sebok. Despite the attire Jeff dominated his table and progressed to Day 2, only to get knocked out when back in more civilian clothing.

WSOP 2007 Progress

Jeff Madsen has picked up one cash so far this year at the WSOP

It was in the $2000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event. He finished 25th winning $4950. This wasnt a big win by Jeff's standards, but after a cold run of cards he said he was just determined to cross the money line on this one.

Hopefully the cards will run smoother and Jeff can go deep in one of the remaining events.

Jeff Madsen at the WSOP

Jeff has been playing quite a few events at this years WSOP. He has a good bet with fellow Full Tilt pro Gavin Smith. Whoever cashes the least needs to pay the other player the difference, up to a max of $250K.

Since Gavin Smith has already picked up a 2nd place spot winning $155K, the pressure is now on Jeff to catch up with his buddy or be on the bad end of a very expensive WSOP.

Good Luck Jeff. We will be rooting for ya.

Jeff Madsen, Full Tilt Pro

Jeff Madsen has recently signed an endorsement deal with Full Tilt Poker, bringing their full stable of pros up to a massive 62.

Jeff is the youngest member of the Full Tilt pros, adding to his achievement of being the youngest WSOP* bracelet winner ever. Born on the 7th June 1985, Jeff is still only 21.

Hopefully if Jeff gets the time between all his live poker activities we will see him at some of the Full Tilt tables.

Bay 101 Shooting Stars

Jeff Madsen was running great in the Shooting Stars in San Jose. He was chip leading at one point and looked good for another top 3 finish in a major event

However is wasnt to be as Amir Shayesteh caught a flush to send Jeff to the rail.

Amir Shayesteh was on the button. He raised and Jeff moved all in for about 300k. Shayesteh thought for a moment before calling, probably thinking that Madsen was making a play, defending his blinds.

Jeff Madsen flipped over Ad 10d
Amir Shayesteh flipped over Ac 6c

Jeff had him well and truely dominated, but the board came As Qc 4c 5c 10s. Giving Amir the nut flush on the turn.

Jeff Madsen was therefore sadly eliminated in 8th place, winning $100,000 for his troubles.
